We're looking to restart our Research Forum, and we need your help. We're seeking volunteers to serve on our ACRL-LA Research Forum Committee and help plan this summer's virtual forum. The good news for this year is we already have a suggested theme and dates (looking at July currently, possibly around the 26th ). The ACRL-LA president will also be an ex-officio part of this committee to help the newly reconstituted group plan and navigate any formalities and logistics required to pull off the event.

For this year’s National Library Week (April 7-13), the ACRL-LA Awards Committee will honor two library professionals from Louisiana for their outstanding achievements in the library field. All library personnel (academic, public, special) are eligible for nominations. Categories include:

Daniel DuPont and Johannah White have been elected to the Executive Board of the Louisiana Chapter of ACRL as our new Vice President/President-Elect and Treasurer, respectively. Both of their two-year terms begin September 1, 2023.  

Daniel DuPont is a Librarian at Delgado Community College in New Orleans. They are currently serving as ACRL-LA Treasurer and previously served as chair of the NOLA Information Literacy Collective.

ACRL-LA Chapter members have received a ballot by email. Voting remains open until July 1st. Candidate bios are below.
