Andrea "Drea" Broussard

Research & Instruction Librarian, University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Drea Broussard has worked as a research librarian at ULL for two years. She thrives on answering reference questions, helping students and faculty with research, and is hoping to present at the ACRL-LA conference this year on creating leisure reading collections in academic libraries. She would love the opportunity to broaden her community network of fellow academic librarians by becoming Secretary for ACRL-LA.

Tim Coady

Librarian for the School of Business, Tulane University 

Tim Coady moved to Louisiana three years ago, and he is excited for an opportunity to contribute to the profession in his new home.  He is a business librarian and also has experience working in public and government documents.  He is passionate about access to information, critical pedagogy, and how artificial intelligence might affect our work.  When he is not in the library, he can be found hiking with his dog.

Dustin Dirickson

Librarian, Instructor, Delgado Community College

Dustin Dirickson is a faculty member at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, starting as Librarian, Instructor in the spring of 2022. He is dedicated to developing instructional seminars about available resources, search strategies, and library services for students, faculty, and staff. Dustin is a member of ALA and ACRL, and currently serves on the ACRL-LA Membership Committee. Previously, he was Instructional Staff at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, teaching composition to domestic and international students. With over two decades of classroom experience in higher education, Dustin is passionate about helping first-time college students navigate the information landscape to find quality sources and build their confidence!

Quiana Wright

Assistant Professor & Reference Librarian, John B. Cade Library, Southern University – BR

With nearly 20 years of experience as a librarian, Quiana Wright has had the privilege of serving diverse communities in public, school, special, and now academic settings. As a Baton Rouge native, Quiana earned her MLIS degree at Louisiana State University in the Fall of 2006. She is thrilled to be a librarian at her alma mater, as it gives her the opportunity to return all of the knowledge that was instilled in her during her matriculation. She takes immense pride in her work, always striving to meet the needs of her library community while embracing opportunities for continuous learning. Although she is still early in her career in academia, she has found academic librarianship to be profoundly fulfilling, leaving a significant impression on her. She eagerly looks forward to forging impactful connections and partnerships in the years to come.
